My first instinct as an artist is to seize the viewer physically with visual intrigue. Design is the first tool that I use because I feel it is a tangible and physical thing. Now that I have your attention, I can tell you the “story”. This is why I am a painter. I want to show you something and I want to show it to you in the best way that I possibly can.
Consequently, it has become a diverse and exciting journey as I explore the potential of a wide variety of mediums. I revel in adapting and manipulating the technical rules of composition and colour that help me to tell whatever “story” I am working on. Experimentation and practical precision are significant aspects of my working process. Honing the skills of my craft, which give me the language to express something of interest or worth is extremely important to me and is something I will pursue for the rest of my life.
